The Chamber of Commerce once again are having the boat and car show in Needles. It will be held February 24 through the 26th. This year the Elks and Eagles will be working together to earn monies for their lodges, thanks to Dan Stoltenberg and Bobby Martinez. It should be a great show so plan to attend.
On January 18th we had the honor of having the CHEA President Wane Howard and his lovely wife Coleen attend a dinner in their honor at our Lodge. The dinner was great, thank you David Holmes and crew for all their hard work. Thank you to Vice President Sally Clemmer for inviting them.
Don’t forget to mark your calendar for February 12th. The Patio Girls are having a brunch and the menu looks great. Pre-sale tickets are available at the lodge.
February is also Election of Officers. The first meeting is nominations, and the second meeting is elections. Be sure to be there to vote.
Also, the first meeting is PER night and Hog Call, so bring your Purple Pigs.
The group making blankets for the Veterans extends a thank you to Margie Myers for donating the totes of fabric for making more quilts.
The Lodge will be having a raffle in February for a 32 inch TV that was won at the recent Jamboree in Indio. Money from the raffle will go to charity.
My choice for Elk of the Month for January is Mark Lemke. In addition to cooking chicken fried steak once a month, Mark is always available to help out.
