Needles Elks 1608 School Pride Project

Update:

Needles Elks 1608 sending out a big thank you to all that attended the showing of School Pride, Needles Edition this past Friday night (Nov 12). Raffles were held for autographed shirts, seat cushions and crying towels. There was also an auction for a football signed by the NHS 2010 League Champions. This brought in some revenue to be donated back to the Associated Student Body at the Needles High School. Among those in attendance were Officers and members from the Bullhead City and Kingman Elks Lodges who also volunteered during the School Pride renovation project. The Elks exist to support the Youth and Veterans in our communities throughout this great country. Thank you for supporting your local Elks Lodge. This shows Community pride at its best!

Sally Clemmer,
BPOE South District Public Relations Chairman.

Previously:
Needles Elks Lodge 1608 members and families joined forces in a community-wide school renovation project in the dog days of summer. The week long project involved thousands of hours of more than two-thousand volunteers from the community and surrounding area. Needles Elks’ Exalted Ruler Bill Warner and South District Public Relations Chairman Sally Clemmer are proud to announce the involment of two neighboring Elk Lodges: Bullhead City Lodge 2408 and Kingman Lodge 468. Many of the Lodge Officers and members joined the Needles Lodge in the demolition and restoration of classrooms and assorted workshops at the Needles High School, Home of the Mustangs. The project included large corporate grants to the school culminating in an extremely successful project. We thank our sister Lodges for their selfless volunteerism to our community and look forward to assisting them in future projects. Pictured are a handful of Elks from the three Lodges surrounding the four Hosts of NBC’s School Pride. Episodes will be aired this fall.

Update:
The episode was watched by 60 people in the Lodge dining area. You could have heard a pin drop! It was great to see ourselves on TV!
